Amy Adams earned her first Oscar nomination as the gabby and guileless Ashley in the 2005 film Junebug. A vibrant redhead who can bring both charm and fire, Amy Adams made her movie debut in the 1999 film Drop Dead Gorgeous (with Kirsten Dunst). She then made the most of a small role opposite Leonardo DiCaprio in 2002's Catch Me If You Can (directed by Steven Spielberg). Amy Adams also co-starred with Rob Lowe in the short-lived 2004 TV series Dr. Vegas, but Junebug was her breakout role -- a warm reception at the Sundance Film Festival earned an acting prize for Adams and wider distribution for the film.
